risten's affiliation with FOP began in December of 2019 as its first Executive Director. Her responsibilities include managing the organization’s operations including supporting the Board and its Committees in their activities on behalf of FOP. Principal focuses are enhancing FOP’s fundraising and Board recruitment and engagement.

As a consultant in community engagement & public service, Kristen's clients have included Center for Reproductive Rights (LBH Chicago), New Coast Foundation, Lincoln Park Community Services, The Women's Justice Institute, Lawndale Christian Legal Center, Lifeway Foods (Chief of Staff), and Step Up (Director of Expansion).
Previously, Kristen worked as Director of Finance & campaign manager for an Aldermanic Election in Chicago's 38th Ward. Kristen also served the U.S. national non-profit, Step Up as Senior Manager for Member Programs. As a graduate student, she partnered as outreach/development intern at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Nairobi, Kenya, completed The Program for Management: Community & Voluntary Services at All Hallows College in Dublin, and conducted her Capstone in Haiti post 2010 earthquake. Kristen began her career as an Educational Leadership Consultant for Delta Zeta Sorority.
Kristen holds an MS in Public Service Management from DePaul University, Non-Profit Certificate from University of Notre Dame, and a BS in Political Science & Pre-Law from Eastern Illinois University. Kristen’s passion is social justice. She advocates for peace, healthcare, the arts, environment, and equality especially concerning women, children, and refugees. Kristen is a lover of nature, Lake Michigan, a golden retriever Mom, a member of Old St. Patrick's Church, and Crossroads Marathoner.
